The Avengers Come to Cambridge

The Avengers were a San Francisco punk-rock band from the 1970s fronted by the pixie-like (but strong-voiced) singer Penelope Houston. They're one of those groups for whom I've thought, "wow, if only I were 15 years older, I could have gotten a chance to see them live, and that would have been great!" This year they decided to go on tour after I-don't-know-how-long and their final tour date was Sunday night at TT the Bear's Place in Central Square.

They put on a great show, and the venue was completely packed. I also whipped myself into an excited frenzy that evening.

Then there's always the pride one has at being able to show one as "been someplace" the night before when your hand-stamp is still visible the next day:
