The Reality of Being a DC Resident Sinks In
When I was exhorted to call my senators over an upcoming bill, I thought about it and suddenly realized that I don't have any senators.

I'll be surprised if you haven't affixed a "Taxation without Representation" bumper sticker to your car yet. Everyone in Cambridge says hi (ok, well, not all 101,000 of us, but still...). :) Still basking in the glow of Deval's amazing victory & kick-ass performance in the 1st debate.

The "Taxation Without Representation" slogan is included with every set of DC license plates, which I just acquired today after registering my car.
Voting for Deval by absentee ballot was one of my last official acts as a Cantabridgian before I left for DC. It's good to see him doing well.

Speaking of bumper stickers, I'm reminded of fellow Greek New Jerseyan Demetri Martin who had something to say on the topic:
“A lot of people don’t like bumper stickers. I don’t mind bumper stickers. To me a bumper sticker is a shortcut. It’s like a little sign that says ‘Hey, let’s never hang out.’”
