MIT Person Discovers Something Awesome

Once again, the brilliance of MIT people comes through to improve the world. I'm not talking about the group that discovered a method of reducing jet fuel consumption by 70%. Screw that-- something else has been done that's just amazing. As I've mentioned before, I love McDonald's french fries. Now, we have a guy by the name of Kenji Lopez-Alt (MIT '02) who has reverse-engineered the recipe for McDonald's french fries! He did a fascinating set of experiments that allowed him to retrace the steps McDonald's uses to produce their awesome, awesome french fries. Definitely worth a read and definitely something worth trying out at home.
