Biography
I was born with the name Constantine Kleomenis Christakos in Buffalo, New York on Sept. 7, 1974. Most people call me Dean.
I recently finished my Ph.D. at the MIT Media Lab, and I work for a federal research laboratory in the Washington, DC area.
My current research deals scalable mobile networks for public safety.
I received my Bachelor's in Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 1996 from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
My research has focused extensively on issues in mobile computing, scalable distributed multicasting, and sensor networks.
I received a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in September of 1997. My thesis focused on optimzing the language translation system used by the DIPLOMAT project.
I have experience in IT consulting from my work at the Sapient Corporation in San Francisco, California.
I grew up in Essex Fells, NJ and graduated from The Pingry School in 1992.
